Quiet Serenade...

When: April '10
Where: Jekyll Island, Dog the Bounty Hunter's U-Haul, and Grandparents house.
Who: Myself, 3 Best friends, aunt, 5 year old cousin, assorted zombies.
I always enjoy vacations, I mean who doesn't? Especially ones on the beach. On this particular occasion three of my best friends, Chris, Greg, and Matthew, and I went to Jekyll Island. I used to go to Jekyll Island often with an old friend of mine. (Sorry I can't get any pictures of Matthew atm, I'm at school)
The three of us stayed in a small motel right on the shore. And I mean RIGHT on the shore. Seriously. 20 yards and you're at the water. It was storming really hard. There was a flood warning. I guess we just ignored it because we're stupid teenagers. Anyways, as we were getting settled in I see that there is a little crab on the floor in the room. I chase after it, myself being the awesome crab wrangler that I am, and caught it. As I picked it up I noticed that it didn't look like a regular crab. It was white and looked like it was falling apart. It's eyes were red and were bleeding, I then saw a dozen more of them coming from the cracked door. We then realized that they were zombie crabs.  We looked outside and could see thousands of zombie crabs and human zombies running in from the ocean. As we went outside we could see that the water had risen to their shins, and my knees. Neither of the cars would start. So we just ran.
We made it to the interstate. We thought it would be a great idea to just jump onto some one's car.
We did, sort of. Traffic slowed down. We saw an open U-haul truck.
Why it was open? I don't even know. It had very few things in it. A couch, a lazy boy and a lamp. So we hopped in. We stayed as out of sight as possible as we hid in the U-haul. After about an hour and a half we got off onto an exit and stopped at a Shell station.
We sat there in fear that the owner would call the police. To our surprise the owner was the one and only

Dog the Bounty Hunter.

He laughed about it.

We explained our situation and he graciously drove us to our destination. We thanked him.

"No, thank you. Now I know that zombies are on the lose I can get to somewhere safe."
He said before he drove off.

When we got into my grandparents house my aunt and one of my cousins from Great Britain were visiting. My little cousin, about 5 years old, was asleep upstairs. I went to give her a hug and check on her. When I got into the room upstairs she was hiding under her covers. I told her that it was just me. With tears in her eyes, she pointed at the closet. Now, this closet is no ordinary closet. Within this closet is a door, and behind that door is a large room. This was previously an attic but was turned into a 'play room' after many of my cousins were born. She shut her eyes and hid beneath the blanket again. I opened the closet to see that the play room door was cracked. I opened it slightly more and saw something horrifying.
It was like the scene in "I am Legend" when Will Smith runs after Sam, his dog, into the parking garage. I think that's what it was... Anyways, I could see about a dozen or so zombies huddled together in the dark. I went back into the room and pulled my little cousin out of the bed and sent her downstairs to my friends and aunt. While I was downstairs I grabbed a wooden meat hammer and crept back up the stairs. When I came back in there was a different little girl in the bed. She looked normal from the head down, but below her waist, her legs specifically, she was huge.
And I don't mean like, a little chubbs or some baby fat, I mean GINORMOUS. She sat there with a blank look on her face. She looked very ill. Frightened, I held the meat hammer tight and got closer. I examined her legs. As I got a closer look I noticed her flesh start to twitch. I looked closer and saw her skin start to rip. I saw fingers.

There were zombies flooding out of her legs.
They ripped through her skin like wet tissue paper.
Falling out of them like newborns.
And I ran.
My friends said that my family had all left in the minivan and gone to somewhere safe.
So I found the keys to the old Cadillac and we were off.
The zombies.
After traveling for a very long time we made it to the safe haven.
Seattle.

For some reason...

The zombies ended up being water zombies. Apparently, a chemical that had been dumped into the ocean spread and turned the sea creatures and the residents of the lost city of Atlantis into zombies. They were eventually eliminated I guess... I don't really remember. We just kinda all lived in Seattle from then on. And then I'm going to safely assume I woke up after that.

Yeah.

The End

  2. Well we made it. That's good. I'm glad I didn't die like in the first scenes of Zombieland where the chubby kid dies because he can't run. :p This dream doesn't surprise me with all the crap we put into the water.
